Yesterday, an inspection team headed by Wang Zhang, Chairman of Zhengzhou CPPCC made a special visit to inspect the construction of Zhengzhou designated port for imported food and the implementation of “Belt and Road” Initiative.

Huang Qing, Vice Mayor of Zhengzhou; Li Yuhui, Vice Chairman of Zhengzhou CPPCC and Chen Songlin, Secretary General of Zhengzhou CPPCC also participated in the inspection.

The team came to Xinzheng and visited the slaughter center and registry center of imported meat of Truein Agro-Pastoral Group as well as the grain port inspection station of Zhengzhou Smart Park of Grain, Oil and Food. The leaders also listened the work reports from relevant departments and gained more information about the construction of Zhengzhou designated port for imported food and the implementation of “Belt and Road” Initiative.

It is reported that the Zhengzhou Smart Park of Grain, Oil and Food project (including Zhengzhou designated port for imported food) is an important one in the construction of Zhengzhou’s “Belt and Road” Initiative. The construction will start in the second half of this year, and it is expected after the completion that 100 companies will set up offices in the park, creating jobs for thousands of people and the annual revenue is estimated to reach above RMB 2 billion. Zhengzhou is an important node city in the national “Belt and Road” Initiative. When the port is put into use, business flow, logistics flow, capital flow and information flow will converge here, making Henan Free Trade Zone glowing.

In the subsequent meeting, Wang Zhang said highly of the Smart Park’s good conception, planning, momentum and solid foundation, regarding its project experiences worth learning. He asked to summarize experiences in time and become problem-conscious so as to solve problems concerning brands, ecosystem and product promotion and to make the project more influential, which will make greater contribution to developing Zhengzhou into a key national city.

Huang Qing asked relevant departments to attach great importance to the construction of the Smart Park and implement various policy measures to promote the early completion of Zhengzhou designated port for imported food, which will help Henan’s food industry connect seamlessly with the international industrial chain and accelerate Henan’s deep integration with the national construction of “Belt and Road” Initiative.
